Trip Report part 2
Wednesday, June 4th
I woke up around 5:30, as usual on St. John and enjoyed my coffee on the deck. It started out a bit cloudy.

Banana trees around the villa

We wanted to do the Ram Head hike early, so the four of us went on towards Salt Pond.

Blue Cobblestone

Barrel Cactus (I think)

Looking back towards Blue Cobblestone and the southern side of St. John

We snorkeled blue cobblestone. We saw quite a bit, but didn't take many pictures. Here are some squid.

We stopped by the Big Belly Deli for some sandwiches to take to Francis. We split the tuna salad sandwich and the club wrap. Both were very good. The others had a club sandwich and chicken salad. We met Tim working there, who is actually from Paducah Kentucky. He was very nice and gave us huge platefuls of pasta salads to sample. They were excellent and we knew we would be back!
We picnic, snorkelled and relaxed at Francis, waiting to hear from the rest of group that they arrived.
As we left Francis, we saw a doe and 2 fawns.

Some of our friends eventually arrived, so we met them in town and took them up to the villa. We had happy hour on the deck,

then went to Skinny Legs.

I had the blue cheeseburger, which was excellent! The rest of the group finally made it to the island, but we didn't all get together until the next day.

I really enjoyed that hike. I have a few more on my list for next time.SJfromNJ wrote:Nice job KYgirl. I have not done the Ram Head hike in awhile, but your report and pictures have inspired me to do it next year. Common with that Skinnys Blue burger!
pjayer,
I remember that his first name is Tim, but I can't recall his last name. He gave me a card. If I find it, I will let you know.
