My Trip report (really) Part IIII
I think that I forgot to mention that Chip let me open the boxes! The were beautiful towels, bright green with embroidered palm trees and they said St John 2008 with our names. There was one without a name that we had a hard time figuring out what to do with. Then Chip met this guy named Wade and it just seemed like the thing to do.
He is pretty famous, from what we hear.
We had a lot of sun so we decided it would be a non beach day.
I was going to make breakfast but Chip said we should go out so we headed to JJ's. Breakfast was great and instead of Thrushies we had chickens trying to get our food.
We roamed around town. In an out of every store and by noon I was parched, so we stopped at the Beach Bar for lunch and a few cocktails.
Our friends were flying in that night so we wanted to stop and pick up a few things to have for them at the house. I decided that I would check the prices at Dolphin and see if they had Bud Light in cans for our friend, Paul. Here is my pitiful story:
We pull up and there are no spots and there is a huge line of cars behind me so I continue up Centerline and just past the Cruz Views road, I turn off to the left to turn around. As I am turning, the seat track for Chip's seat must have not been locked in all the way and the seat flies backwards making a "bam bam bam" noise. I slam on the brakes and duck
I mean what the heck did I think it was? Chip laughed so hard he cried and I said " &*&$#@ Dolphin, let's just go to Pine Peace"
For the remainder of the trip, Chip would tease me with machine gun noises and just laugh at me. I know it is one of those " you had to be there" moments, but it really was one of the funniest moments that I can remember.
We get back to the house after a stop at Pine Peace and just lounge around. Our friends are due on the 10:00 boat so we need to try and stay awake. We head into town around 7 and decide to have dinner at the Banana Deck. Food was good, we both had Mahi and shared conch fritters. We had a dinner companion, too. We named him Trey

We headed over to Joe's Rum Hut to use the gift certficate that we won and wait for our friends. They called when they should have been on the plane.
Their connecting flight was delayed and they were stuck in San Juan over night.
We were bummed so we headed back to the house and decided that we needed to flip the mattress to see if we slept better.
I guess we were both so tired that we did not make the bed very well. There were a million tree frogs and other animals and it was a little warm so it took us a while to fall asleep and we were both tossing and turning quite a bit. The sheets had come loose and were all pulled up and in the dark Chip simply said
"I feel like a foot long hot dog in a six inch bun"
I laughed myself to sleep.
