I have already started looking for next year

Chip has decided that he much prefers the Cruz Bay side of the island. I would prefer Coral bay, but if he is paying, I tend to go with his preference.

We are looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom (our friends may come with their 10 year old)
it must have a pool and we would really prefer AC in the bedrooms.

Any great suggestions? It will be off season and we would like to do this on a budget (under $2500 for the 5 of us)

Before our group expanded, I was looking at: Miles Away (Destination St. John), Sea Blossom, and Sea Dream both through vivacations. All were on Cruz Bay side of island, had a pool, A/C in the bedrooms, and were affordable (under $2500/week off season).

Sea Cay is slightly over budget but has nice view, pool, 3 A/C bedrooms. Surfside looks like a really pretty house---a bit further out near Reef Bay. Treasure Ridge? Viridian Garden might be fun, but it could be hot in summer (all B/Rs have a/c though). Happy hunting!

Forgot to add that my criteria included at least 2 bedrooms that connected with each other or were accessed from the interior of the house. Sea Dream, Sea Blossom, and Amorita all met that criteria. If you friends with the 10 year old come, they probably will want him/her in a bedroom that they can get to from the inside of the house, rather than in a pod or bedroom accessed from the outside only.

I would recommend Sundance by Cloud Nine. Two equal Master Bedrooms with kings on different levels and one with twins on the lower level that has it's own bathroom. My husband's 11 year old cousin stayed in that room.

It has A/C throughout, a pool, hot tub, easy drive into town, you can hear the waves of Hart Bay, nice deck for eating outside. It was a more basic villa, but had everything we needed and the price is right. I'd stay there again in a heart beat. I have pictures if you need them!

The only negative I found was that it does overlook a salt pond in one direction, but we just always faced the bay!

Long View villa has 2 bedrooms - the second bedroom has 3 twin beds - so your friends and daughter could if they wanted to sleep in the same room.
