scott beach question
liamsaunt's photos of Scott Beach made us really want to snorkel this beach. But, we are not staying at Caneel. Can you get to this beach if you are not staying there and if so can someone tell me how?
Thanks

Scott Beach...
Kyack from Cinnamon Bay Camps!I don't think it would take all day to get there.I think it's 20 minutes from Cinnamon to Whistling Cay.

HELLO FROM MICHIGAN...
Ocean kayaking is not for the faint of heard...I highly reccomend not kayaking in a double...unless you are experienced. We tried this in hawaii on a 20minute kayak ride, and it felt like forever because we could not get the timing right. It didn't help that the people in dinghy's seemed to be mocking us as they jetted past us!
. Kayak's are much better in Rivers, where you go one direction and it's with the current, or very sheltered bays!

My wife and I love the double sit-on-top ocean kayaks. It isn't like canoeing at all. I personally don't like canoes, especially after getting spoiled by the ease of the ocean kayaks. You do need to be in decent health to paddle against the wind at Cinnamon when the winds are against you. It can seem like you aren't getting anywhere fast if the winds are against you. It is very fun as long as the two rowers are in sync and know which one does the steering. My wife steers and I just keep rowing.
