Affordable Day Sail

Post by Buckwheat »

We are a family of four looking to take a day sail to the BVI.I am looking for a boat that does not charge an additional fee for gas on top of the per person fee. Let's say an all-inclusive day. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Spree with Captain Bob. I think it's about $75 pp to the BVIs. Pack your own lunch. You can google Spree St John and his site will come up.

We had Captain Bob with the Spree on our last trip to St. John, and he was wonderful. We did a snorkeling trip, and a big plus was his lovely dog that accompanied us. We were traveling as a family, my husband and me, our son, our daughter-in-law and our grandson, who was 3 at the time. Our grandson loved the dog on-board, and Captain Bob knows his stuff. He found us some great snorkeling spots, showed us where we could do our best snorkeling when he anchored, and he gave our grandson a wonderful childrens' book, "Swimming in Chocolate" that a friend of his had written. We would highly recommend him. I am thinking of trying to get him for our upcoming trip in November for a day-sail to Virgin Gorda. As I recall, his fee was quite reasonable, and the sail was very professional.
