Your positive vibes at work.... (o.t.)
Happy New Year V.I. lovers!
Quick update for those of you who have sent and said prayers for our wonderful dog Dallas.
Dallas was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer @ Thanksgiving. All available info on this diagnosis said that we only had @ 30 days left with him.
Well, folks, it's been over 30 days and as of this afternoon, he's gaining weight instead of losing it or maintaining! This is his first weight gain in over 30 days (he's either lost or maintained for the last 4 weeks)! We are very excited!
He's had two doses of chemo but the first one really wiped him out so we had to skip a week and lower his dose. He's done very well on the lower dose and we expect to be able to continue with this protocol.
Thank you all so very much for the positive vibes and kind words. We honestly didn't think we'd still have him come 2007 but here we are! So far, the good days have outnumbered the bad and the last few have been great days. Your positive vibes at work
.
I will update you again in a few weeks. Thank you all!

Thanks all! Dallas has so many loving a wonderful people on his side.
Flip Flop: Our Dallas is a Rottweiller and he came with the name. Coincidentally, the Cowboys are hubby's 2nd fave team (the Pats being the 1st love of course).
I love seeing all the doggie pics. I have some from Xmas but am not tech saavy enough to share. We made our yorkie wear a big gold bow and I made a tie out of the same gold material for Dallas! The cat wouldn't sit still and kept swattin' at me when I tried to put a bow on him
! He doesn't like to be messed with.
I apologize again for this OT thread. Fortunately there are enough pet-appreciaters here!
We had to skip chemo again this week. This chemo we have him on really hits his white blood cells bad.
However, Dallas is currently (knock-on-wood) feeling so happy and healthy that he is even back to his old/bad habits
and even gained just over a pound. The vet actually wants to do a "just curious" ultrasound on Monday to see if he's gone into remission. That would be a freakin' miracle!
I'll keep y'all posted...
