Bordeaux Villa

Post by Buckwheat »

We are staying in a villa located on Bordeaux Mt shortly. Could someone please tell me in terms of drive time the distance between Cruz Bay restaurants vs. Coral Bay restaurantsfrom Bordeaux area. Which would be our best bet for convenienceand night time driving? Thanks in advance.

Hey- You're not related to Buckwheat Zydeco are you? Anyway, my first trip is next month so I'll let the experts tell you about travel times, but....the Google Earth pushpins and maps I made might help...feel free to copy/use them to locate stuff on island, have a great trip!
Cheers-

Coral Bay is much closer but there are more choices in Cruz Bay. Coral Bay has a few really nice restaurants (Shipwreck Landing is a favorite). If you've never been to St. John stay on Centerline Road to get to Cruz Bay and the night time driving isn't as bad as it is on the Northshore Road. There are a lot of switchbacks and it can be dicey for a novice left-side driver. If you eat earlier it will still stay lighter later and you'll be fine.
