Post by traveler22 »

Hi everyone,
I need a place for 1 night in St.Thomas or St. John 6/20 for 2 adults and 3 kids. The problem I'm having is most hotel have a limit of 4 per room. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Family of 5...

Post by parafins »

Funny, that seemed to be a problem for us to!Maho Camps and Cinnamon Bay Camps would not allow my family of 5 to stay there. {In one cottage.}Samuel Cottages welcomed us with open arms, but they are just a few that will.Samuel Cottages is around $100.00 a night-not too bad!Parafins...

Secret Harbour in STT has two bedroom suites and will take five. It's very nice and right on the beach.

Hey Traveler - was wondering where you've been! Can't really recommend anything, I looked at Mafolie on STT because when we were there for dinner it looked like a nice play to stay, but you'd have to get 2 rooms...still not a bad price. Good luck!

I've had this same problem for years.

The Marriott Frenchman's Reef is a big hotel and they don't ask how many people are staying in the room. Think this works fine as long as you don't mind being a little crowded.

Gallows Point allows 5 in a room but you do have to pay for each person.

Thanks for all the suggestions but we booked the "Best Western Emerald Beach". The Website states a max of 4 per room but gives you an option of a rollaway, so I call the 1800 number and they said it is a max of 5. The price was $219 plus $25 for the rollaway which is much cheaper than the $500 for Secret Harbour and the kids get to go to the beach and pool as soon as we grab our luggage.

Martini girl- How have you been? I've been at Soccer games, baseball games, cheerleading competions, Tennis and speed camp for football for my 3 kids plus working extra to pay for all the St. John trips. I'll be around alittle more now that it's starting to slow down and my trip is getting closer.

I have three inside pictures of Samuel Cottage number 3. Have stayed there a few times. Clean, but simple, but inexpensive. Drop me a note if you'd like me to send them.
