Feeling a little guilty

Post by budman »

Hey all,

I am basically a lurker around here and usually just post St John info, but I recently chimbed in on the tattoo talk. I made a smart azz comment about opinions and arses and I wish I had put one of those smiley face icons after it or something, that may have made it seem less antagonistic. If I offended anyone with that I truly apologize! I appreciated Pete's response and I know he understands that I was just being a smartazz. If I'm offending anyone for being PC right now I apologize for that also :?

This is the only forum or blog that I have ever registered on. I read other VI forums, but this one is cool and I've enjoyed participating. You folks who post regularly make this forum enjoyable to read. Opinions do fly through here and sometimes you can feel the tension, but how boring would life be if we all agreed on everything, just ask my wife she's never bored! If she's reading this IT's JUST A JOKE! On the other hand, the direct personal attacks and pm's that have been talked about recently are screwed up and those people might consider getting a donkey tattoo, JACKAZZES! If I've offended anyone with that I am not sorry.

Take care,
Rainman......oops I mean Budman

No need to feel guilty. Was talking with RickG this past weekend and he was laughing at me as he said sometimes I start in on a post with my claws out. I just laughed. I should not post when all riled up! It can get boring sometimes when everyone agrees all the time just for the sake of the forum happy vibe. I have opinions and I try to post them in a respectful way most of the time. I am not the most pc person so if the pm'er sees me on island you might want to steer clear because I would not want to offend you.

{Peace}
When will I see St John again?

You can't offend me. I think it's a bunch of B.S., too. How many times have I said, "That's so retarded". Am I making fun of "mentally challenged" people?? NO! It's a statement and nothing more. LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!! We all have to deal with enough crap in our daily lives and dealings with people that we shouldn't have to feel like every word that we type on this forum is up for scrutiny. If you ask me it's a bunch of C-R-A-P!!! (Sorry I'm gettin' fired up...)

I wasn't offended, either. We had a bit of a pillow fight on the board, but then I did PM you to say that I hoped there were no hard feelings...to which you graciously responded that there were not.

No worries.

As the original poster on that infamous "tattoo" post, I was not offended by any of the comments. However, once my dear friends Pete and Marcia return to sunny Wisconsin we may just have to get together over a little rum to smooth things out.....

I know you...you'll ply us with rum and then insist on showing us your tattoo! I'm not falling for that one, again.

I liken this board to family. Don't we all have that slightly off relative who says things a little (or a lot) off the wall, but still is the most fun and sincere guy in the room?

Tensions flare but then they simmer down.

You are right this board is like no other I've found and I truly, truly hope its flavor never changes!

I'd rather have the occasional "ugh ick why'd they say that" moment than be BORED TO TEARS by uber PC-ness.

Hey Happy Friday budman!

I personally was not offended by anything that you posted. Hey we're not all going to agree with each other over everything. We're all differnt thank goodness!

I think a bit of "razzing" is fun and acceptable BUT down out bullying and name calling is uncalled for and not nice. I mean we're all adults with respect for each other I would hope. So, no offense taken here.

As I looked over your post it appears that you were just trying to get the topic back on track.

Take care!

Kathy
