Day Seven - Last Full Day
Day Seven - Last Full Day
We awake on Friday with a plan that was hatched over wine the night before. We'll do our usual pool/tub/coffee/breakfast routine, then head over to Skinny Legs for lunch. Then we'll head to Maho for the afternoon.

I talk to my brother and we decide to try to eat out someplace nice for our last dinner. Called Ocean Grill, but they were closed for a private party. No room at Waterfront Bistro or Paradiso, either and Zozo's can't take us until 9:00, which is a little late. So just a warning, if you are a large group - make reservations a few days in advance. My brother's fiance to the rescue!! She is going to make eggplant parmesan and bring it to the villa!! We'll pick up salad stuff on our way home and some wine - a plan.
Normally, the last full day is bittersweet, but before we left the house for the day, I called Destination St. John and booked Vistaero for 8 nights next year! (Everyone agreed that this villa is absolutely perfect for us and we can't imagine staying anywhere else). I have to say, that definitely takes the sting out of leaving.
Lovely ride up Gift Hill and off to Coral Bay.

The only problem with our plan was that no one was actually hungry when we got to Skinny's. We split a few burgers and enjoyed the drink of the day (Rasberry Creamsicle - yum).

We take the sweet ride to Maho, parking spots readily available and set up camp. All I can say is, WOW. Never been to Maho before but I can definitely see why it ends up on the top of people's list of beaches.

Tom (a/k/a Cabana Boy) swam with a huge turtle for about 45 minutes. Happy, happy, Tom.

Had a fabulous afternoon here and Dora and Vasco once again volunteer to go ahead and stop at the market so that we can have one ... last
... happy hour ... at Woody's.

Head back up to Vistaero and do the sweet post-beach swim in the pool/hot tub. Dinner was absolutely delicious, we finished off all the wine in the house, had some more laughs and just enjoyed our last evening together.
