Is it any problem to get a laptop through airport security these days? I would like to take mine down since our villa has wireless internet, but I don't want to get hung up in security. I would probably carry it in my backpack which I usually carry on.

You just need to take it out o the case.

not a problem at all. my husband rarely travels w/out his. just make sure they know you have it and take it out of the case and put it in its own bucket.

Every once in a while I get asked to turn it on... that's usually the longest hold up.
