Newbie Trip Report 4
April 10 Thursday
Sorry last trip report was Wednesday April 9th.
My dates are running together.
Today my husband decides we are going to hike to Soloman and Honeymoon. We drive down to the National Park headquartes and realize he has forgotten his drivers license. So back to the villa. You give them your drivers license and they give you a parking pass to hang in your window of your car. So they have labeled this a easy hike, so I am feeling confident even though I am out of shape. I would not label this easy. I made it but complained most of the way. The end was the reward! I loveeeeeeeee Honeymoon beach ! This was my favorite spot. Camped out at the right side because of the charter boats of people coming in to the left side to snorkel most of the day. After wonderful day I tell hubby we are walking to Caneel and catching a taxi back to town. Taxi straight to Beach Bar, ordered painkiller. Enjoyed talking to the bartender who was from Washington State and the cruise people who were there. We went over to St John spice to shop around and the clerk there also had ties to Washington.
Walk back to car and head to villa.

Did you leave you're car at caneel, or did you hike from the national park office? We're making our second trip in August and I hope to get to honeymoon as well. We didn't make it last time, nor to salt pond or out to the east end. Hope you get back soon!
BTW, I'm from Kent. Nice to see another Washingtonian!
