We are probably on the same flight because I got the same deal. I wasn't going to go at that time but like you I couldn't pass up a deal like that.
We're on non-stop flight 883...our last flight to STT wasn't even a non-stop flight, and it was almost twice as much $$. :D

Well they're projecting that the cost of gas is only going to go up so I would almost be inclined to book those tickets now even though its so high?

Actually I just saw this article:

United Airlines raises fares 3 to 5 percent, citing fuel
Thu Apr 24, 3:54 PM ET
NEW YORK - United Airlines, the second-largest U.S. carrier, raised most domestic airfares by 3 to 5 percent Thursday as it struggles to cope with soaring fuel costs.

The widespread fare increase is the third in a row initiated by Chicago-based United in just over two weeks. The last two attempts were quickly matched by competitors and remain in place in many markets.

The move comes just two days after Delta Air Lines Inc. Chief Executive Richard Anderson said domestic carriers will need to raise tickets 15 to 20 percent just to break even at existing fuel prices.

United spokeswoman Robin Urbanski said the carrier's latest increase is "part of our effort to pass on increases in our commodity costs that will help offset the significant and rapid rise in fuel."

Shares of United parent UAL Corp., which traded sharply higher along with other airline stocks for much of the day, rose $1.46, or 10.5 percent, to $15.41 in late afternoon trading.

If you go to fare compare it shows that prices for flights in Nov and Dec, drop a lot in August and Sept.
I'm waiting to book to STT from EWR, until the summer.
I'd assume they will be a bit higher than 2007, but I think it's worth the wait.

Just my 2cents.

I think we're going to gamble and hold out a little longer......although we did this for Dec 2007 and they fares never came down. The AA flight with a stop over in San Juan came down a little to $645 today, so I'm watching that one too. It's just so nice to go nonstop direct! Thanks for everyone's input.

Hey Jeanne we are on the same flight too! You have to love direct flights. More time for the beach.

Hopefully there will be a forum get together at the Beach Bar.
