Delta does it again
No worries
Yep, like sedi said: once you do finally get to STT, just go with the flow. You'll make ONE of the ferries to STJ! Between the 3 or the 4, if it means you're stressed and anxious trying to make the 3--let it go and just assume you'll make the 4. That's what the cold beers are for.

Not just Delta... try booking a Caribbean itinerary eight months in advance on AA sometime and watch what happens.
I agree with the previous two posters, while it's inconvenient to arrive later, what's important is that you get there safely and reeelaaax along the way. 3 o'clock ferry, 4 o'clock ferry, just roll with it. After all, what if your original flight got delayed anyway? You'd be in the same boat (not meant to be punny). Airline schedules are like the weather: unpredictable and there's nothing we can do about it anyway.

I don't really understand why everyone gets the Red Hook Ferry. The few times we've done it we had multiple stops and it took forever. We prefer the CA Ferry. 5 minute cab ride downtown and there you are. The ferry ride is longer but that doesn't bother us. We just sit on the top deck and soak up the sun..

The downtown boat is not so reliable, sometimes it's there and sometimes not. It's an island thing!!!!bevm wrote:I don't really understand why everyone gets the Red Hook Ferry. Delta
Delta also changed our flights four times last June
and one of the main inconveniences was that each
change wiped out our seat assignments. I just
happened to notice this and each time went back into
Delta's website and reentered my seats. One of the
changes was to a smaller plane and the original seat
assignment was no longer an option so the only seats
I could get were in the "Exit" row. No big deal,
just annoying.

Tennessee
I just expect Delta to change the schedule!! They cancelled our flight from Atlanta to STT for August, but did send a schedule change. The only problem was that they had us leaving the same day even though we couldn't make it to Atlanta from South Dakota in time to catch the flight. Solution-- go to Atlanta the day before and stay overnight.
