Private taxi questions!

Post by islandgirlstuckinVA »

Hello everyone! I check in to this forum a few times a week and LOVE hearing updates about my favorite island!

I'm planning a trip to STJ (my 21st birthday present! thanks mom! :P ), leaving May 17th, and I've been debating about booking a private taxi. I've read great reviews about Rachel and am hoping to book with her but I was wondering if I should wait closer to my trip date to call her or would it be best if I try now?

I used a private taxi last time, Christopher, and had a great experience. He's a fun guy! But we've lost his number. Is anyone familiar with him?

This is my best friends first trip to the Island so I'm hoping to make it a memorable trip for her. I will definately take her to Woody's (how can you experience STJ without going there at least once?!) but any other ideas for first timers?

Thanks for any suggestions you may have. I love hearing about everyone's experiences! And if you are on the Island May 17-22, I'll see you soooooon! :D

The web site for Christopher Taxi is as follows:
www.watertaxi-vi.com/landtaxi.htm Phone number is there. I do not know how far in advance is best. I'll look for the response just like you. Let us know how you made out.

If it's been raining, hike the reef bay trail.

Start at the top from Centerline for about 90 minutes. You can arrange a boat to pick you up at the bottom thru NPS or you can take the 20 minute hike to the petroglyphs via Fish Bay.
