Another broker to consider - Sherry Yates (sherry@yatesyachts.com).

It's a great trip, can be expensive if you go with a captain and chef (which is what we did).

They let us (Don primarily) take part in as much or as little of the sailing as he wanted.

Definitely worth pursuing!

It's a really fun vacation but be sure to build in at least 2 days on land after you get off the boat to get your land legs back. I'm always rockin' for at least a day and a half.

I would second using Sherry Yates, she set us up for a fabulous charter on "Quest", not sure if the boat is still chartering , I know the Captn and his wife have stopped working as crew. The best boat, very comfy, AC, in the cabins. Love the villas but if I had extra $$$ would do another charter in a minute. Laurie

I absolutely second what Diana2 said! We didn't do this the first time we chartered and I felt "ripped off" to get so close but not set foot on STJ. Even though we only spent four days on STJ afterward this time, I still got my fix - at least for now :)

bvi catamaraning

We did the exact trip last year. Trip of a life time! Can't say enough wonderful things about it.
We rented a catamaran for the 5 of us. Myself, husband, bother-in-law and another couple. We rented the catamaran through Sailing Paradise. You can go on line and get all the info you will need. We rented a 55 foot catamaran called TomCat. We were on a budget, so it wasn't the fanciest one they had, but it was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable, spacious and a wonderful crew- Captain and cook. I highly recommend this to every island lover out there. Afterward, we of course stayed on St John for 4 days before heading back home. Let me know if you have any further questions.
