I know someone posted a link or 2 to some villa maps but I just can't find that post again.

Thanks in advance.

Please keep in mind that it is a work in progress. We are adding images, links, pricing etc. over the next few weeks. We have also have added the beaches, restaurants are coming soon.
I would love to hear feedback and suggestions from you all! Thanks!

Villa Fish: I think people are really going to like this! Especially if you get to the point where you can link directly from the map pointer to the villa web site.villafish wrote:I would love to hear feedback and suggestions from you all! Thanks!
Cool!

My only suggestion would be to keep adding more villas (e.g. Coral Bay and East Side) but I'm sure you're planning on that anyway.

There are some distinct advantages of using "public domain info"...or sharing tools such as Google Earth and Wikimapia. One big advantage is that the information is not controlled by anyone person or group, and therefore is not tied to any commercial/business interests.
This is why I use Google Earth and Wikimapia...they are not tied to, or controlled by a single information provider, they are shared and built freely...besides the fact I like the photo content...

Hi Sherban,
I agree with your premise BUT my problem with Google Earth & Wikimapia is that they both use the same satellite picture which has dense cloud coverage over large parts of the island in which villas I like to stay in are located. This is SO frustrating. Do you, or anybody, know if they periodically update the maps they use--to overcome the cloud coverage problem???

St John Lover- I know the map photos get updated from time to time but I don't know what their policy is for when and how to update. There are several map tools to choose from which sometimes do use different photo stock...
I got this link from someone here ~6 months back, there are a couple differnt map tools and photo stock available via this link...
Click on the dark rectangle area in the middle to "activate the tools"...then you can select differnt map types with the radio buttons in the top left corner...

Either way I like the photo maps alot better than the "cartoon" ones...just my personal preference, of course.
