Last news:St. John change name to the old Danish name St,Jan

Post by linne »

I have just heard that the governor for USVI has decided that STJ are going to change name to St. Jan, which was the name of the island before the Danish sold it to the Americans. Both STX and STT have kept the old names, so with respect to the history STJ now will go back to the old name too. The decision is influenced of the Danish government. They have at the same time promised to donate 5 mill. Dollars to a new archaeological excavations around the old Danish fort, Frederiksfort in Coral Bay with a view to a possible rebuilding. The excavation and rebuilding will create many new jobs on STJ.

So exiting!

How can you believe it's an April Fool. I'm a serious person, and it was told in the radio.

So with the change of name you will also avoid misunderstandings between St. John and St. Johns.

At least the "Haven't I seen you on the forum?" shirts will still be good.

Oh, I thought my story was so truthful, but you were too quick-witted. Perhaps it was not early enough on the day, you saw it. The first joke is the best!

But at least Anthony was tricked. I later on send him a PM telling, what date it was. :)

I didn’t got burned this year, the first joke I heard was too unbelievable, remind me of what day it was. So every time I listened to the news or read the newspaper during the day, I was sceptical. This had the opposite effect. Driving in my car I heard about a robbery in a very safe building, and many millions should have been robbed. I was sure it was an April fool. When I came home hubby asked me, if I have heard about the big robbery, I told him that it must have been a joke, but it wasn’t!

But I witnessed a funny April fool. I’m trying to learn Spanish and get lessons every Tuesday together with other grown up people. When the teacher came into the classroom, she started telling us that the date for our examination has been changed. We had to take it much earlier than expected.
My classmates got very upset and a loud discussion broke out. I didn’t say anything just smiled. After a while some of them got suspicious, and she had to confess. A lot of laughing afterwards. :D

Were any of you tricked during the day?

Ruth! I can see the problem with the T-shirts but perhaps the price will rise because of the sentimental value
