3 in port means my wife and I stay away from CA. I also make sure I know when they will be in port so I can avoid certain times at Trunk Bay on St. John (due to the excursions from the ships). When you know the schedule it makes planning your beach trip easier. Not to offend any cruise ship users, but my wife and I call them "cruisies" when we see them heading for a beach. Certain cruise lines cater to certain types of people that we find somewhat obnoxious. They're the type that invade a hotel resort beach (like on St. Thomas), take the chairs, smoke like a factory, and constantly talk on their cell phones while we, the hotel guests, are trying to have a pleasant time at the beach. Our parents enjoy cruising and don't act like that, so I'm not saying all of them are like that, just the "cruisies". These are the type that don't really sightsee, eat and eat and eat, and drink and drink and drink and then hang out at the nearest beach to the dock.
we will be arriving Apr. 28th and there is only 1 cruise in port (don't think we can take advantage of it since we will be checking in, unpacking, etc. to really get out a do anything)
tues & weds. there are 3 ships in. can't see the schedule yet for May 1st,2nd, and leaving on the 3rd.
any tips what we should do on busy port days and non-busy days?? we want to go to st john for a day and atleast make it to CA once.
thanks
