Question for builders/remodelers: Lyptus

Have you ever worked with Lyptus cabinets or flooring? I love the look (and that it's a quickly renewing resource). I've read that it's sturdy, will resist dings, but that it can split or splinter if not tooled properly. I also read that it darkens "significantly" with age. I'd love to hear from anyone who has worked with Lyptus or has seen how it looks and wears after a few years.
