Customs Building and Checking In?

Post by chrisn »

We will be arriving on STJ via Virgin Gorda in June. We will need to go through customs upon arrival. Is the customs building at the national park dock where you check in after a BVI boat trip? Do we all have to be there to check in personally? Or can my honey walk over and check us all in while I wait with the luggage? Can't remember how close it was to the CB ferry dock??? Thanks!

I'm not authority but I'm sure you'd all have to be present to check in to clear customs. We want to see who we're letting in ;)
Yes it is the building near National Ferry dock.
Enjoy!

Chris, it's very close to the STJ ferry dock. You dont need a taxi or anything.

Thank you all. It's been a couple of years too long and we had only checked in there once before so the memory was a little vague. Thought it was close enough. So we'll all schlep our bags over and check in for a week at my happy place! I sooooo can't wait. Hurry June!!!

Why do you need to go to the CB ferry dock? Could you have your greeter meet you at customs instead?

Maybe I misread, but I might do that so I don't have to schlep my luggage around Cruz Bay.

You will be coming in right there and not over at the other dock

That's what I was trying to say. All of the boats from the BVIs have to come in at the customs dock. I know greeters normally meet you at the other one, but that's because most people come in from STT. I'm sure they'd go to the other one if you explained your arrangements.

Ok, obviously I am not functioning on full brain capacity today . I guess I didn't put the obvious together. VG ferry to STJ requires checkin so it just makes sense that it would arrive at the national park dock instead of the CB dock. I have explained the arrangements to the necessary parties. Just didn't explain it to my brain! See, what would I do without you guys?! I'm with it now. Must be that blonde thing...

I'm just glad you understood me. I thought maybe I was writing in hieroglyphics or something. I'm not with it today either.
