First Day of Spring?.....Yeah Right!

Post by ScubaGirl »

Woke up today to freezing rain, schools closed, everything is covered in ice, took 20 minutes to scrape the car.

Environment Canada are saying we can expect 6 more weeks of winter weather in the Northeast. Murphy's Law, the one spring we don't have a trip planned to the Islands, and boy we're paying for it.

It is a beautiful day here. A nice break after 2 days of downpour. We got 11 inches. Our immediate area is rather high and hilly, but I really feel for the folks down near the rivers.
Probably not going to our hometown, STL, for Easter because of flooding between here and there. Son2 lives in Cape Girardeau, they got over 13 inches of rain. Hope not to get anymore for a while.

Yep -

I'm here with Marcia - 45 degrees and pretty sunny yesterday for the start of Spring and now lots and lots of snow.....! I can only hope that it melts soon. And, I pray for all those in the midst of the horrible flooding.

Yep, we are going to have a "White Easter". It's snowing like crazy and we are supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow. I'm going to lose it if so called spring doesn't come soon  .
Going "home" again October 26th!

Still Spring-like in Coral Bay. We saw a couple of apparently pregnant Bananaquits!
