Posting Pictures on the Forum

Post by ATG »

I noticed a couple people have asked how to post pictures in their trip reports. I myself thought it was quite a mystery, until someone posted directions at another VI forum that shall remain nameless.... Go to www.photobucket.com and register (takes 2 seconds). Save your digital pictures somewhere on your computer's hard drive and then upload them onto photobucket. Once the pictures are uploaded, you will see them in photobucket and underneath each picture are 3 links. Highlight the link that says IMG, right click, hit copy, then open another window for your post on this forum, click into the post box, right click and hit paste. You will see the link appear. If you preview your post, the picture should appear. I was amazed at how simple it was once I got it to work!
Good luck!

Woo Hoo

Thanks ATG - photobucket works great. Not sure why I can't get the same type of link on Shutterfly.

flickr.com is the site I use--it's really user friendly, and it works especially easily as far as posting pictures on this site for some reason.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
