I love that cartoon. I had it posted in my office well after Easter last year 'cause it was so cute.

I'm sorry, whenever I see the phrase "easter bunny" associated with anything STJ I think of Ruth.

There used to be a joke on the old AOL board that Ruth really didn't exist...like the Easter Bunny. It arose from people going to her store and her not being there. We used to post that there really was no Ruth.

Okay, it's not so funny now, but it was marginally funny then.

Anyway, one trip down, Ruth gave us two stuffed Easter Bunnies, they are about two inches long and have magnets so they can go on the fridge, or wherever. Marcia and I place them in all sorts of lewd poses. Our kids think we are twisted, but that's okay...it keeps them on their toes.

I remember those days, Pete. I would try and tell people that I really did know Ruth and they still would not believe me.
Then along came Bandit, but that is a whole different can of worms.

X, were you a former AOL poster?

Are there other AOL posters here?

I was an AOL member since way back in the day. I was still living on island when I joined the board. I think I went through a few screen names until I settled on deedeemichaud back in 2000.

Former AOL poster here. Not sure what name I used then. But I remember all of you and especially the Ruth story. Also the "is it April yet?" signature of Marcia (was it 60?) Some of us are still in touch and hopefully we will reune this summer. The old board has gone by, no one ever posts there. Remember the trouble that some of the members got into and were not allowed to post for quite some time? I also remember when some of us got together in NYC and the moderator of the board came. Anyone else have some old stories?

I do remember when some posters got booted off for a while due to some comments about a particular car rental company in STT.

Remember Poohwear, Karen who referred to her Mom as the Queen Mum? I wonder where they went...

Ya, I was MarciaA60 (my email address)

ohmygod. too funny. I miss "Mr. Weston" he used to pop in on this forum but haven't seen him here in ages.

Of course, Bandit made himself famous over there for "I just call it as I see it." But, then he got all famous on tour... :)

Ruth and I had drinks with Mr. Westin and his wife in STJ one afternoon a little over a year ago. He was not staying at the Westin but at Lavender Hill, imagine that!
Where are you, Joe? And how are you?
Poohwear has a condo in STT and sometimes posts on TTOL.
Knolmom who posts on this board sometimes was also on the other board as well as Gerie, Schultz and of course Ron USVI.

Pete and I are having a major "senior" moment. There was a poster on the AOL board, I believe her name was Karen (not the Karen I referred to earlier), who owned (may still own) the restaurant in Red Hook, that is on the second level of a building right by the dock. What is the name of the restaurant and is she still an active poster here or elsewhere?

I think that her name was Terry and she owned Caribbean Saloon in Red Hook. She also opened a pet store. Have not seen her on any other boards. There was also a Karin who posted as Werlimin. She is still on STT and she comes to the AOL reunion every year.
