BOS to STT: Non-stop flights are Gone!

Post by Ondine »

Unless someone knows otherwise, it appears non-stop flights are gone! Too bad, that was a nice way to go and not feel any concern for a checked bag.
I'm officially booked for May though, and will write my Feb trip report soon -- one too many deadlines lately! :(

I do believe the exist during high season (on Saturdays maybe?)...but I think after April 5th or some date like that.......the drop the nonstop flights for low season. We are actually flying non stop out of jfk in June (picking up my dad in NY)......

check out flights in the winter........

True - the non-stops don't run year round. I'm not sure when they start/stop, but in November, the non-stops only fly on Saturdays. In prior years, they didn't start until December.

We are flying non-stop out of Boston on 4/26...I think we got one of the last ones though. You have to connect in the off-season. On the way home we are connecting in SJU. I think, in general, the non-stops run from Boston once a week November-April. I'm not an on-season visitor though, so I might have the months/dates wrong!

It used to be that during high season, Wednesday was the only day there was no non-stop. This year, the non-stops ran Thursday-Sunday. We changed our flight to come home early and ended up having to go through SJU.

Months ago I booked a non-stop for April 26 on my FF miles (2 seats). They canceled that non-stop and moved me to a bad flight. I called and got on a different, better flight, but still going through San Juan. Of course, a month or so later they re-added the direct flight :x

Liamsaunt - my group of 9 will be on island with you, and we may be on the same flight back to Boston (through San Juan, leaving around 4?)

Yes that sounds like our return flight--we are leaving on May 13.

That's good to know that non-stops might be a seasonal thing. I was thinking they were gone for good. There is hope yet...It would be great to meet up with some of you that might be there first week of May, I guess that would be May 4th at the Beach Bar?

Yeah...the non-stop flights are over at the end of April, I'm flying out of boston on May 4th and they had nothing...in fact they just changed my return flight on May 12th to a a different flight...I paid more money for a flight to be home at 6:10 and now I'm booked to come in at 10:05...Not fair, but they canceled the original flight I was on,,,I do get to stay in st thomas until 4:30 instead of 12:45! I guess that's a bonus :?
