Idyllic, Golden Dragon, Villa Bijou

All 3 were suggested by Vacationvistas. Any preferences out there? Splendore is a possibility but the dates are iffy. We're a party of 2 adult, 2 kids and maybe my mom.

If you search the word "dragon" you'll find a number of trip reports involving Golden Dragon. A few regulars on this Board have stayed there. Furnishings look fabulous.

Villa Bijou is new. It looks very nice to me. I like that location---pretty sunset views. We are leaving on Thursday and staying at a villa just above Bijou. Our close friends, who we are traveling with, will be staying at Villa Bijou. We'll post a report when we get back.

I've stayed there, and I don't think Golden Dragon would be a good choice for your group unless your kids are teens. The house is set up with one bedroom in the main pod. The other bedrooms are in seperate areas--one is on the same level as the main house/pool--across the patio, another is directly below that bedroom, accessed by an exterior stair, and the 4th room is below the main house, again accessed via exterior stair. Note, too, that there is a pretty long stairway from the parking area to the house, which could present difficulty for your mother if she has mobility issues.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Thanks for the insight.

Has anyone who has stayed at Idyllic found it to be noisy or was privacy a problem being so close to The Westin?

Thanks MaryBeth. I'll report on Villa Bijou and take pictures. After seeing all the great photos on this Board, I realize my prior efforts at taking photos have been a little pathetic so I'm vowing to do a better job this time!
