Wow! Between your story and Lysa's Dallas, this forum is making me pretty weepy these days. Thanks for sharing your story with us so we know how special St. John is to you and why. Can't wait to read the rest! 8)

Well I can certainly see why St. John is so special to you. I am glad that the place and your "grandson" can give you comfort. You write a wonderful trip report. Thanks to you and all the other special people who have shared a part of themselves and their love for St. John with these wonderful trip reports. The only downside is how far away April is.
