Anyone want to read KL? I'll send it to you

I read Keep Left (the book about building Villa Tessori) during our recent trip.

Because I don't know anyone in my "real" life that would want to read it (you definately need a real affection for St. John) and I have a new rule about keeping too many books, I will gladly mail it to anyone interested in reading it.

Yeap, we got home yesterday and I am killing the pain of clearing my desk with trips to the forum and working on a trip report while details are still fresh.

It was and it wasn't.

Unfortunately, my mom (who was with us) got so sick (some sort of cold/flu bug) that she couldn't get out of bed for four days. This totally put a wrench into our feasting-out plans.

Then, on the morning we left, my friends (sisters) received a call that their mother died.

This was all topped off by plane trouble. The landing gear didn't retract after lift off. The plane circled PR for about two hours before landing amongst fire trucks. We spent the next 7 hours in the (closed) San Juan airport waiting for a new plane.

But we all got home safe in the end.

The beaches and snorkelling were great, so was the weather. We had some really terrific meals that I will report on. I will PM you about our Caneel buffet experience.

Sorry about all the bad luck, PAGirl. That stinks.

If you are writing up the Caneel buffet, can you send it to me too? We are staying there again in May, and have not been to the buffet. I tend to avoid buffets in general just because I get overwhlemed by all the choices and lose my appetite, but if you had a great experience I would love to read about it. Maybe I'll change my mind and give it a try.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Welcome home, PA Girl. Now you understand why the words travel and travail have a common bond. If no one has spoken for the book, I'd love to read it. If you'll PM, I'll give you my address, and be more than happy to send you a check for your postage and trouble...

By all means, pass it along. I don't want it back. (I have too many books as it is)

Waterguy - I will drop it in the mail tomorrow or Thursday, I will let you know.

I really don't know if this book is good or bad. Who had read it and has an opinion? I'd like to read it if it's worth the time.
