Photo on canvas

Post by mbw1024 »

A while back JMQ mentioned this but it wasn't on the OT forum so thought I'd bring it over here. This is the original post http://virgin-islands-on-line.com/forum ... ght=canvas

I just used this company for my own photo on canvas and I'm very pleased with the results. The company was great to work with. They even called me personally to let me know that they thought the size I ordered was going to compromise a lot of the photo so they offered a custom size at the same price. The shipping was fast, it came FEDEX and was well packaged.

Hung it up in the bedroom today. When I first got it I wasn't 100% sure that I liked it or that I chose the right photo but now that it is up I'm happy with it. I love to second guess myself :)

Here is the company website (they did change their name since John posted about it) http://www.artisticphotocanvas.com/
They sent some coupons with my order if anyone is interested. $7 dollars off which will take about 50% off your shipping.

This is my finished product:

That is beautiful MB!

I am not sure if any of my photos are worthy of that though.

Marybeth.......that is beautiful!! A couple of questions:

What size is yours?

How high a quality was your photo?

I was thinking about some wall hangings from STJ in our bedroom, and this post sealed the deal! Thank you!

Jan, mine is 20x30. I had made a mistake with the first photo I sent because I sent one that I had edited. They emailed me to ask if I had the high res version, which I did, so I resent it. They did say if I didn't have the high res version it would still be ok but this is preferred.
If you look at customer comments on the site it sounds like they work with a lot of different scenarios.
Best thing is call them and I bet they will look at your photos before you place your order.

MB - WOW looks great. So glad it worked out. They are not cheap, but very good quality and top notch customer service. Note that other companies on the web do these canvas prints also, including shutterfly.

As you said, they asked for original image file and you can also tell them or send them the edited version to show them how you want it cropped etc.

Looks like photo of mine disappeared from linked post (think I deleted flickr image) so there is another for those interested in another sample.

Thanks, John! I didn't know shutterfly did it as well until after I placed this order. I will check to see how prices compare but I liked working with these folks. I had gotten a 10% off coupon from them which is what made me take the plunge.
