Periwinkle Villa (Above Westin)
Does anyone have any info on this villa? Pros/cons. Could not find any reviews anywhere on this villa. Planning a last minute trip and it is between Periwinkle and Cruz Views.

We stayed there in 2006 for a last minute vacation. It is a cute little house that is in a very convenient location. It would not be my first choice but hey we were in St. John. I would stay there again under the same circumstances. MY sister stayed in cruz views once and I would choose periwinkle. However, that is based on the unit she stayed in, I have never been inside any other cruz View units except that one.
We stayed at Periwinkle for two weeks in 2000. It was a delightful cottage for two, at the time. The loft is quite minimal and looks over the master bedroom, so not the best for more than two. It was has mature landscaping with abundant limes when we were there. It has great views and is close to town. Definitely more private than Cruz Views. No pool, but the hot tub was nice at night.
We've stayed at Cruz Views as well and enjoyed it as well. The benefit there is being able to walk to restaurants and bars. I have heard a few rumbles about Sirenusa construction noise.
These are both good bargain options.

I satyed at Periwinkle's neighbor jasime in August 2007. Our villa, owned by the same people, was very well kept. Periwinkle is below Jasmine but private. When we were there Periwinkle was empty and we wlaked through the outdorr deck to acess the lower driveway. Something that's not allowed when the Villa is rented. The three villas which occupy this space are closely situated but at the same time private.
Ive never been to Cruz Views, but I don't think you can go wrong with Periwinkle. If its anything like Jasmine it was simple, but very clean and well kept. The Central A/C was a big plus, but we were there in August. It has easy access to Rock Ridge Road and its minutes from Cruz Bay. It was quiet, no big construction projects at that time.
