New guy!! St. John video!

Post by islandchef »

Greetings fellow forumites!!! I have been a long time reader of this forum but for some reason have never posted... until now! I am a 24 year old culinary school grad who was lucky enough to work a short "stage" (april-july 07') at the stone terrace in st. john. Plan on posting and reading much more in the near future (especially considering I will be returning in exactly 3 months for a 7 day stay at la papaya!!!)... I don't think you should ever go to a party without bringing a gift so I have atttached a link to a video I edited from my last week living in St. John when a bunch of my friends came down to help me leave the island in style. (I'm the big guy doing the flip off the back of the ocean runner;) Hope you guys enjoy and looking foward to chatting with all of you. NO WORRIES!!!

Now this I need to show my daughters: why culinary school is fun!

It works much better than Tony Bourdain's poetry about a hard girl with grill burns on her arms.

Cheers, RickG

My son wants to go to culinary school. I keep telling him to get a job in STJ and mommy will come to visit him very often! :D
I will have to wait to get to my home computer before I can view the video, but it sounds great!

Welcome! Great video, looks like you all had a great time -- "leaving the island in style" accomplished. (BTW, great background music to the video.) Don't worry, the 3 months will go by quickly and before you know it, back on STJ. Again, welcome. Ali~

Loved the video! Thanks for sharing it. That aerial view of the island at about 4:30 kinda brought tears to my eyes.
