Frank Bay House/Amora
Frank Bay House/Amora
hi all-
Was wondering if anyone had info on Frank Bay House...I know I have walked past it a million times and it is in a great location, but what is it like inside? From the pictures it looks like there is no space around the pool for chairs, and the living room is all open? It can't be locked or closed up?
Also, when did Amora go to 2 bedrooms???? I know it used to be 4, didn't it?
Thanks for the info!

I don't know about Frank Bay House, but we stayed at Amora in June 2005.
Thank goodness the couple with us who stayed down in the lower unit were in their early 20's. It was definitely in the "basement apartment when you were in college" mode. The laundry room was also on that level...a closet really with only an outside entrance. Hopefully they are redoing the downstairs apartment.
And holy cow walking up that hill will either kill you or you will actually lose weight on vacation!
As a 2 bedroom it wouldn't be bad if you want to be in town...no dishwasher (eek)...and priced accordingly.

We rented that house when it was brand-new and the downstairs wasn't yet finished. Definitely would not have liked renting it with other people below. the house was pristine and pretty, and had a dishwasher at the time. It IS a good uphill walk from town. It worked for us that year because we had 2 teenage girls with us and the proximity to town gave them a lot of freedom.
