Best take-out Pizza?

Post by iowaguy »

On our next St. John trip we have a large group of high school and college kids (11 of them). Planning a number of dinners out, but thinking that pizza might be a good option on at least one night. I know Cafe Roma has take-out pizza. Also, I recall getting a good thin-crust pizza at a place in Wharfside Village---Senorita Pizza maybe? We'll be on Cruz Bay side, but any suggestions for a good slice on St. John are welcome. Thanks.

The Donkey Diner has excellent pizza, but only a couple nights a week (and it's over in Coral Bay).

We've used Ronnie's Pizza for years. I guess they are still around. They will deliver to your area and it is pretty darn good. The kids won't care if it's not.

We tried to get Ronnie's pizza back in June on a Saturday night and they were closed. Order early in the evening.

RONNIE'S! Sorry was I shouting. Best pizza I've had ...esp. good when enjoyed while drunk in the pool with a tang & orange rum.

I have to go with the place in Wharfside, Senorita's (next to Joe's Rum place)....great pizza! We found it on our last trip, and it's the best cheap meal on the island. Wonderful after a night of bar-hopping. :D

My vote is for Cafe Roma. I love the interesting combos, like Gorgonzola and pinenut. Yummm

Ronnie's is in the Lumberyard Complex in Cruz Bay. They have a smart car too for deliveries. Very cool.

This trip we ordered delivery (first time we picked it up) and they made a fool of me by showing up with hot pizza about 30 minutes later. I was telling everyone ... its island time we won't see pizza for at least an hour so we better order before we are hungry.

Great pizza.

Wow! I'm glad I asked---lots of good ideas. I haven't tried Ronnie's but I will. I googled Ronnie's and found this fun article about their smart car in On St. John:

Cypressgirl---enjoyed your remark: "They will deliver to your area and it is pretty darn good. The kids won't care if it's not." How true---my kids will eat Domino's pizza, so I really shouldn't worry.
