How much gas to Jost?
Our friends want to rent an Ocean Runner for a day and we are trying to figure out how much gas we will use. We are thinking about the 22 footer.
We are planning to check in, go to Sandy Spit, White Bay, and back to Cruz Bay. I know that there is no way to be accurate, but just looking for an estimate.

Gas, Grass, and Jorge's A$$
Like $200 to $300 I think for Gas @ +$4/gallon. Haven't bought any grass...but I sure have smelled it. And the rest...
You're on vacation. And just to spend some time on Jost...priceless!!! Go for it!
And speaking of...Little Miss Vicki has never been there. Can you imagine the pics???

X we took a 29 foot fountain from the Westin and did basically the same trip. We didn't run the boat wide open, just up on plane. It was equiped with twin 200's and we burned about 25 gallons. That translates into about $100 in fuel. When we went with Josh on Lion in Da Sun in November we went down to the Indians then back to Jost and Sandy Spit and I think we burned in the neighborhod of $125 in fuel. His boat is a little more fuel efficient than the fountain.
Hope this helps.
oops I just realized that I am logged in as Deb.

By the way Jorge is right everybody pays one way or the other

Thanks Jay- that is about what I figured. Our plan is to just hang out. Our friends have never been and they want to snorkel a bit and then chill at White Bay.
Our friend Paul commutes to work on his boat(he is a park ranger on a small island) and Chip is the captain of our 20' boat at home, so that leaves the ladies to hand over the credit card and drink more than our share of rum!
