? for ONTHELAKE

Post by cptnkirk »

Hey can ya tell me a little more about Cruz Views #1 the good, bad and ugly. We thought we wouldn't like #3 and it turned out to be our favorite so far. Thought we wouldn't have privacy but if ya were sitting on the porch felt pretty private. Anyone who has stayed in #1 feel free to pipe in.

cpkn,
We like the parking (up past the entrance) and the privacy. Sitting on the deck ... feels like your own villa. The furniture is older but overall the place is clean ... that's my biggest thing. :)
This will be our third year. We picked it the first year because of the price, but just keep going back because it fits our needs.

And of course the views are great!!!

Pam

Opps ... maybe I should have told you it was awful ...
we don't want to lose our week.

We've stayed at #10 two different times and really liked it. It's one of the rennovated units and it's on the end so you have privacy. Great views and a friendly cat who hung out with us every day.

We are staying at #7 in February 2008. We have seen in on a past trip and we're hoping we like it as much as #10.

Cruz Views is a great bargain for it's location and views. The only downside is the construction across the way but we find that when we stay there we just go out and about more and experience the beauty of the island - definitely less villa gravity time.

Enjoy!

Onthelake..........How do you get to #1? Is it a 2 bedroom and how is the bath and kitchen? Oh yeah, the most important ?....does the ac work in the summer? I didn't know there was an entrance past the main downward plundge, which I've grown kind of fond of.

Hi Cypress,
Unit #1 is on the top (kinda above 3). You drive past the entrance and pull in right after the building. The entrance to unit #1 is right there ... you go through a locked gate to the deck and then into the unit. Feel very private. The only downside is you have to walk down the driveway to the pool area.

It is a 2 bedroom (loft is 2nd) and ac only in the master bedroom. We usually go in Nov/Dec so never a problem with being too hot.

Hope this info helps.

We stayed in #7 in April. It was great for two people. The only negatives were the ac didn't keep it as cool as we would have liked it. We ended up turning on a floor fan to blow cool air from the hall outside the bedroom. The ac was fine for me but my husband likes it really cool. The other thing is the furniture is so close to the TV that you feel like you are too close to it. We didn't spend much time watching TV so really wasn't a problem either. Overall it was well worth the money.

PM if you have any other questions. :)
