I think I bought the same bag of candy as Mary Beth...some ultra chewey pull your teeth out stuff, tootsie rolls, junior mints and Dots. I got into the junior mints the other night! I feel bad for my neighborhood kids that will get this crappy candy but "real candy" would be gone by now.

Never buy it or eat it except for halloween. Didn't make it home from the store without eating mini bag of peanut m&M's and a mini kit kat totaling 150 calories. I walked this morning for 1 hour with my pup LuLu so that covers that. No more for me!

Tonight I am taking LuLu for a walk to all her woofly friends in the neighborhood and bringing them halloween bags of doggie treats. Leaving the haloween candy on the porch at home for the kids to indulge in.

Cute picture Bug! Happy Halloween to all you of as well!

Naturegirl - I usually levae the candy on the porch too and know it'll be gone after the first or second kid (who can resist?!) I like to go out with my kids. Anyway, two years ago, I left the bowl out filled with goodies and when we returned, not only was the candy gone, but some little stinker took the bowl too! Thought I'd find it in the yard or down the street somewhere the next day, but nope! I learned my Halloween lesson that year!

Have fun!

Tracy, These kids around here are young (and very polite)and will only take one or two candies. I get very few kids; it's too much trouble to walk up and down these hills for a few treats. Pretty much no teenagers. The mothers usually take them to the condo complexes, park and let the older kids rake it in while they walk the young ones around. It's one stop shopping. Last year I gave all my candy to two kids who happened to be the only ones to come by- by around 7:00pm. They hit the jackpot unfortunately so will their dentist!

Happy Halloween to you too! My teenager is off with her friends, my hubby and I grilled steaks, and I'm relaxing with a glass of wine.

Also, I came up with a great way to get rid of my grown kids' Beanie Babies. (Anyone remember those?) I'm giving them away tonight, and the kids are loving them. :)

My teen daughter is out dressed like the 80's. What is so weird about that? That is not long ago!

Here is my son (yes, son)

I wish I would have thought of that! When we were low on candy, we could have recycled beanie babies rather than taking candy from our children.

KYGIRL - I had 3 daughters buying them at the same time several years ago, so I have plenty left over for next year. I had enough to share with you last night if I'd known.

I thought I'd save some money and calories on the candy, but then I got in the wine and blew the calorie count. Oh well! It was better than leftover candy anyway. :)
