Need advice for getting part time help in villa

Post by DiverDonn »

We have a large group (14+ people)coming in for Thanksgiving Week and are looking to hire someone on a parttime basis to help out at the Villa we are renting. Thinking of someone 4-5 hours a day who can straiten out the place, maybe help serve cocktails/dinner and clean up the kitchen afterwards, No beds or bathrooms. Ideally it would be for all five weekdays, but since Thursday is Thanksgiving, we can easily do with someone for Mon, Tues, Wed and Friday. The rental company came up with an offer but the price seemed to high. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?
Appreciate it. You can answer here, PM me or send me an Email.
Thanks, DD

Try contacting Christy's. If anyone could do it, she can.

I am curious why you would want this though? I know that we all have different vacation expectations, but I can not imagine not being able to pick up after myself and throw the dishes in the dishwasher. With 14 people, I would think that if 2 people each took a day to be responsible for things you could use the money towards more food and booze, but that is just me.

I may know someone - maybe.

What are you looking to pay, and what part of the island is your villa. Also, you are not looking for them to cook dinner are you (that would be a deal breaker :D ) so what exactly - make beds, dishes, put towels in washer etc or do they need to do your personal laundry, cook, serve, clean up after dinner, as that would be alot more than 4-5 hours. Big difference between coming in the am for 4-5 hours to do the general clean up and tidy and being there for dinner/drink service - that sounds more like a personal maid.

You can PM me if you want and include a detailed list of your needs so there are no surprises and I will talk to her.

Let me know if you want me to or not.

This sounds like the kind of service that's avaailabl at villas throughout the British VI, but not very common in the USVI.

I agree, you should contact Christy's. That would be your best bet.
