We got takeout there after a lazy day at the beach. It was alright. Not bad but not spectacular either. It works if your in the mood for chinese.

We didn't think it was all that great and kind of pricey. The Lo Mein was like spaghetti. We had it delivered after a day of imbibing on Jost, so it did the trick  .

Sounds like an "in case of emergency" kind of place. It suits it's purpose. We just may need to have some delivered after our beach bar forum night.

I have only had take away once and it was OK - very expensive (imo) for what it was - probably won't do it again.

I agree with Pia. I picked this up for the kids one night in November when the big people were going out. My kids are Asian food crazy and have had the good stuff. China Shack reminded me of food that had been written by people that had read a cook book, but had never seen or tasted the real thing. There was a lack of flavor and texture that signifies "Chinese" to me.

I hear you Rick. Even in New York it's hard to find awesome chinese. You have to know where to go. Thai food, on the other hand, is usually is good whereever you go. At least that is what I find.
