If the rental agent says it's OK, then its OK! Worst case is they will drive you and your bags to your villa and you can pick up the car the next morning. We used Bougainvillea for the car rental and they were open when we got there and our car was ready. It was well after 5pm. Next time, Im not going to bother with picking up the car the same day as arrival...I was tired and cranky and hungry and thirsty and should have waited til the next morning!

We had originally rented from St John Rental for our up coming trip, but after calling several times to check on letting us pick up late (probably 6 or 6:30).
Everyone we talked to said to go to our place and pick up the jeep in the AM. We are staying in Coral Bay and the taxi out there and back the next day would be ALOT. :? So we cancelled and booked with Courtesy ...They said no problem ... just call from the airport and someone will wait for us. :)

Good luck
Pam

Our villa management company recommended St. John Car Rental - we even sent the reservation form through them (Carefree Getaways).

Our plane is also scheduled for a 3:10PM arrival, and we are checking bags, so I doubt we'll get to the office before St. John Car Rental closes for the day.

I've sent an email to the agency, it will be interesting to see what they advise.

Maybe I am misunderstanding, but that clearly looks like what their web site says.

The girl who made the reservation says she told them our flight info, and they told her it was no problem. I hope it really is.

We have to be at the visitors center at 9 a.m. for the Reef Bay hike on Monday, so I really hope that we don't have any trouble getting our cars.

Lulu, i think (cannot swear) that when you reserve a car thru the villa agent...they are more flexible. Check with your villa rep if you are concerned. Tell him/her your plans and Im quite sure they will make it work for you. No one is out to ruin your vacation, thats for sure!

Well, we didn't rent through the villa agent. One of the girls in our group made the arrangements. However, our contact at the villa agent does know the arrangements, and she hasn't indicated that there might be a problem, so I'm hoping that's a good thing.

Our villa agent said that they would make arrangements to get the keys for us, then we could just go fill out the paperwork the next morning.
