Finally chose a villa for May!!

Post by susan & herb »

Hi everyone,
Well we finally decided on a villa for May 2008.

We are staying at Villa Carolina for 10 days. This will be our first time staying "on the other side of the island"and I am really looking forward to it. Last year we spend afternoons in Coral Bay and said we would go back at nite for dinner, but as it got darker and the trip seemed so long, we never did get there for dinner.
We actually were very seriously considering Reef Madness as the price was great for a brand new villa , but we were waiting for more pictures figuring we had plenty of time. Well two weeks ago I check the Reef Madness calendar and guess what?, someone had booked the middle two weeks in May which were the two weeks we needed as our cousins can only go that week. Boy was I pissed!!
Back to the drawing board to Villa Carolina which was our second choice and looks beautiful except not with the in your face view of Coral Bay that Reef has.
Just wanted to thank everyone here for all their help on villa suggestions in Coral Bay area especially Mia who is a wealth of villa information!

Now if I can only figure out how to get my "ticker" working!

Congrats on making the choice. We'll be there at the same time and I can't figure out the ticker thing either!

I think Villa Carolina looks great! Enjoy the countdown!

Heading down the first week of May checked out Reef Madness also. Looks great but was afraid to book it as it is not totally complete yet. You would think by May it would be done but I read the owners blog and ya never know sounds like getting a villa built on St John is a nightmare! Definitely on our list for next time. We went with Orions Hill looks really nice for the price.

I love the Reef Madness blog. Reading it is really enticing me to "go over to the other side" of the island for the next, next trip.

Great for you Susan! I was wondering what you decided! I have REEF on my list as well but after this trip we likely won't be able to make it back until 2009 :(
I'm sure Reef will have upped the rates by then and we may get priced out of that one.

Sometimes my ticker won't display (all of the porn /stripper name talk on here has me thinking that sounds naughty) because the server hosting it is too busy.

Whenever (and however) it decides it's not too busy anymore the ticker magically reappears...
Come see us!
