Finally June trip report part 5

Post by cat »

Monday morning we were exhausted from our full day yesterday and slept in. Not like home sleeping in till 1 or 2 in the afternoon after a late night but I bet we were up by 8am! Eliz do you remember? All I know is we started out later than usual and had brunch at Chilly Billy's.

Bad hair day for me!

After a great meal we all headed over to meet Ruth and Ron at St John Spice! The minute I opened the door I fell in love with the place! I have a passion for smells and it smells so good in there! Once I saw all of the great things she has I almost died! It was a shoppers heaven! There is such a variety of goodies!!!! I got some of the famous Cruz Bay Grill Rub but since I don't do much in the way of cooking I spent more time on other things, enjoying the smells while I shopped! One of my favorite purchases was a deck of playing cards with drink recipes on every card! OMG! I am becoming an alcoholic and my bar is now exploding because I want to try every one!!!!!!!! Two of my favorites are the Green Iguana (1oz Midori, 1oz tequila and 3oz sour mix) and Tie me to the Bedpost (1oz each of Midori, Absolute Citron, Malibu rum splash of sour mix). I love Midori and they both have it in them! Sorry I got a little off track!

Kenneth couldn't resist sitting on the steps next to the "do not sit on the steps" sign!

After seeing Ruth and Ron Eliz and Jerry went back to the villa to relax and Kenneth and I did some power shopping! We shopped all of the shops in Wharf side and headed over to Mongoose Junction! We picked up a few goodies at Deli Grotto for a few snacks and breakfasts. There was not a thing I didn't like! And I got one of most every form of pastry and cake they had in the case!

Hot and legs getting tired we decided to head back to the villa for a swim and to see what Eliz and Jerry were up to. They had been lazy all afternoon so we decided to clean up and go to dinner at Shipwreck.

On the way there we stopped by the ruins at Catherineburg. (What a great name!) We got out and wandered around because I had to take more pics!!!!!

King of the ruins!

They missed me!

We sat at one table and didn't like the view so we had them move us to the front corner table! I know already a pain in the booty! We ordered and I went across the street to take more pics! Eliz went to take pics when I got back.

Eliz and I had Mussels appetizers and Jerry had coconut shrimp. Kenneth didn't have an appetizer. For our main course Eliz had Tuna which she fed part to the cat Buster (a girl) I had shrimp and pasta, Jerry had Shrimp and pasta with a different sauce and Kenneth had steak.

Elizabeth's Tuna. Check out the pyrammid!

My shrimp and pasta.

Kenneth's steak. Remember he is from Texas and definitly a meat and potatoes kind of guy!

Jerry's pasta and shrimp. Isn't it great how many ways you can do pasta and shrimp!

It was the perfect end to another great day in paradise on the deck with a cocktail. OK so maybe we had a few shots of tequila too. Kenneth and I had a bottle of Patron in the freezer that we drank out of regularly. It barely made the week!

Tuesday is Hawksnest and a swim past Gibney, Oppenhimer and beyond!

Sounds good to me. I have no idea what time we woke up just know that I was out on the deck before everyone to enjoy my quiet time and write in my journal.

I had Eggs Bennie at Chilly Billy's and didn't write down what everyone else had.

At St. John Spice, I just bought one thing of Cruz Bay Grill Rub (remember that back then I NEVER cooked) and some bumper stickers as I am not a shopper. Since then I have already ordered twice from Ruth!!! It was GREAT getting to meet them!

The reason we ended up on the road where we saw the Catherineburg ruins was cuz Jerry wanted to freak Catherine and Kenneth out about the road but they were scared of it  so we didn't go past the ruins. I had told them how bumpy and horrible that road was one too many times, and I think I freaked them out a bit

It was DEFINITELY a lazy day. It was nice just to have a lazy day and do nothing after the day before.

Cat - you are doing a great job on all of this - thank you so much for taking care of it!
