My cousin from Rome just got married. He and his wife spent last week on st Croix. They got to StJ 3 hours ago, and he felt the need to call. They're at the Caneel and he said that while St Croix was wonderful, he can see what we love about St John. He says they're amazed.
He wanted to know if they needed to rent a jeep, telling me "There don't seem to be many roads here". I told him to go rent one and explore the East End.
He's been given his assignments: go to JJ's, go to the Beach Bar, go see Ruth. That's enough, isn't it?

Tell him to be sure to snorkel at Scott Beach on the Caneel property! Tell them to set up on the beach on the left side and watch for turtle heads to pop up.
Also at Caneel, Turtle Bay Beach also has excellent snorkeling along the rocks on the left side, over the reef to Scott also, but there is a current, so tell them to be careful.
Tell them to be sure to hike over to Honeymoon and enjoy the tranquil, wide beach--a 5 minute hike from Caneel Beach on the wide, flat trail.
That's three recommendations--I want three Rome restaurant recommendations in exchange!

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
