GYPSY SPIRIT
We just returned from what may have been the best trip ever to St. John -- a very high point was a thrilling half day sail with Captain Doug Ross on his beautiful sloop, Gypsy Spirit.
Captain Doug is a gracious and able host, full of St. John lore. He took us to Henley Cay, where we swam and snorkeled. It was great to see the island from the vantage point of the sea, and unlike the ferries or motorboats, the only sounds were the sea and the wind in the sails. Exhilarating!
Prior to sailing back to the dock in Cruz Bay, we were even served appetizers and libations!
A great, great experience, not to be missed. We'll sail with Captain Doug every time we make it back to our beloved island.
