There is no excuse for what happened - it is a horrific event - we are all hoping and praying for the family that justice will be done.
I apologize to all if my words might have been taken out of context

This is such a horrible and senseless act. My prayers go out to the family and to all of those on STJ who are effected by this.

XOXO

I read that in the Tradewinds as well.
It is all beyond sad..........it reminds me of the senseless killing of David Geiger and the injuries his son suffered.

It seems some people are confused about the wording in the Tradwinds article, so I've copied & pasted part of the article here:

"One EMT responded to the scene and two police officers stood nearby with their arms crossed, according to a resident who passed the scene."

It doesn't seem like the police stood by while the fellow was being stabbed, but stood by watching the EMT who was trying to help him. My question is, why did only 1 EMT respond? Could the police have helped that EMT?

We know what you know. I didn't know the victim but it seems like he was a nice kid. Nobody deserves this, but we just have to let it go and pray that the murderer is brought to justice. This, too, shall pass.

peace.... bert

Tradewinds reports that there is no new information on the stabbing death
of a 21 year old visitor to St. John,
though there are two witnesses to the murder.

Those of us who love this island can put our heads in the sand, and hope that
this doesn't happen to our kids, or ourselves.

Perhaps somebody will recognize that crimes, in particular **serious** crimes
need to be addressed by professional law enforcement, now.

Well said. And the key word here is "professional".
