Is Luna the tall black lady who sometimes hangs around outside Woodys until they make her leave? On our first trip we saw her walking down the road by the Westin and stopped to offer her a ride into town. (We always do this when we see workers trying to make the ferry to get home to STT in the late afternoon.) Well....she started screaming some pretty "heavy words" at us and then she started to spit in the window...Needless to say we didn't stick around. We have seen her on every trip but try to stay clear..folks at Woodys said she has a "drug problem".

Luna's "drug problem" is that she doesn't take enough of them.

I had two opportunities to meet Luna and the first time she was out of control. The second time, she apparently had taken her medication and she was actually very calm and very nice. The poor woman obviously has serious mental problems, I'm guessing schizophrenic.

Yes - to us SJ is paradise but there is sadness everywhere.
