I've noticed Jet Blue fares weren't available yet too, I've not flown with them but it sounds like that would be a great option. I'll keep watching. Thank you!

We are flying out of Detroit at the end of May, booked our tickets a couple of weeks ago and on one of the flights my husband and I were not able to sit together without paying premium pricing for seats. I would book early rather than wait, definitely not 2 months ahead because than you might not get seats together. We avaided Spirit also, those planes are just not comfortable for a longer flight.

Thank you kklay I'll be checking Jet Blue today, appreciate you sharing the info.

Thank you vacationpants we've been watching a little obsessively 8) but I won't wait too long. We're two friends traveling together so sitting together is preferred but not as much of an impact as it is for husband and wife.

I so enjoy this forum and the exchange of information, makes me feel connected while anticipating the best vacation.

So far not seeing availability for November on Jet Blue, guess that didn't go as planned but will continue to watch.

Vacationpants what airline did you go with out of Detroit?

Suziekue - the flights were there as of 12 noon yesterday. They don't fly every day of the week and you go thru Boston. Detroit - Boston - STT. For our dates the flights were $504 without bags, $533 with 1 checked bag each way.

Kklay, I kept checking but nothing until 5 today when I bought our tickets for $537 without bags but the travel times are great. I don't know why it took so long for me to see them but I checked multiple times yesterday and today. Really grateful to have them and appreciate you clueing me in.

Suziekue - glad it worked out for you! We really had a great trip last year with jet Blue and plan on booking our flights tomorrow. Planes are very new and you have your Own entertainment screen In Front of you on the seat back. This helps the time to go by a little quicker.
