wow - Airfares are killin me right now!!!

We are going end of June -- I HAD great fares, but decided to wait -- why, NO CLUE! We love that flight out of CLT....wow - rate has skyrocketed.

I'll keep watching.......with fingers crossed!

I feel your pain. I am also looking for June (late Jun/begin July) and was surprised at the fares. We decided to fly thru SJU and add a night layover.

Not sure what dates you are looking for but, I just checked our dates for June, as we may have a friend coming that will fly out Clt and with US Air the 30th of June thru July 8th is showing for 570.00 pp..not the best but not terribly bad, esp. for Non Stop..just thought it might work if your dates are flexible..

JJShaw - yeah - our dates are set! We have a couple days on STJ and then a couple days on Jost! I'll keep searching - like every ten minutes if I have to! I'm also trying to come back on Sun, Jul 5th - that's not helping!

NCSue.. I feel your pain..
All these other threads about cheap flights from Boston, and we are stuck with CLT rates.
I finally stopped waiting for the decrease.. I think we are paying $620 but our trip is in June. My in-laws flying from Michigan thru Charlotte are paying less than me.

Tried several diff combos - extending a day - to save on airfare. That just cost us more for hotel -- and let's be honest -- LIQUOR! oh ...and food

I think its kind of a wash at this point - just gonna bite the bullet - opt for the direct out of charlotte.

Either way - I'm back on the rock in 114 days!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if you would consider, but theres always the dreaded Spirit out of Myrtle Beach...Im one of those lucky ones that have had pretty good luck with them ( we were delayed last trip) but thats another story...so we've booked them this yr too...I saved a little over a grand between 5 of us..even with checking a bag...just a thought..

Clear/delete the cookies from your computer before you go back to look at an airfare you recently searched for. A "cookie" is a small file that is downloaded from a site when you visit it and is stored in your browser while on that specific site. They are also known as an HTTP cookie, browser cookie, or web cookie

When you search a specific route, the cookie stores the details. It also remembers the dates and number of passengers. What this means is that their server can see if a specific route is in high demand (by you). When something is in demand, the price will increase.

So, clear the internet history (including cookies) before you search the same route.

NC Sue. We bought our flights back in oct. and they were changed to
a later arrival. I was able to change but not flying out of Charlotte anymore like we like.
We paid around 500 each for our tickets. It is not ever easy.

We booked our June 20-27 flight about 2 months ago and got it for $340 pp from JFK. Guess we got lucky.
