BVI Day Sail
Re: BVI Day Sail
We were aboard Stormy Petral back in February and loved it. I would highly recommend them. The Baths were awesome to snorkel. We did not do the rock scramble, as my husband and i have some issues that prevented us from doing it. But our 1st mate let us snorkel with her to the other side, while everyone else did the rocks. We had a great time! We also snorkeled in the caves, and that was pretty cool too!

Being the office manager for Kekoa I can tell everyone we self impose a limit on the number of passengers (under 50%) so we never crowd the boat

Re: BVI Day Sail
Pia - where are you located so we can book our trip through you? We will be on the rock the last week of May.
Re: BVI Day Sail
I have looked at video's and pictures of so many now that my head is spinning. I know that among those I saw one for sure that not only offers top shelf bar beverages but also had onboard deli ( ? ) buffet as part of the trip. That appeals to me in many ways, I am insulin dependent diabetic now . No more pills
Can any of you tell me which one that was...
....don't know why I didn't save it to favorites !!
Thanks again, Sherry

Pia,
Is it kind of safe to say that we could wait until we are on Island to book ? Or should we NOT Assume that ? We are going to arrive on Thurs. June 19th and leave on Sat. June 28th.
Thanks again,
Sherry

Re: BVI Day Sail
I would go ahead and reserved - nothing is charged until 48 hours prior to our sail and currently we have a Jost scheduled for June 25th (more might be added). I do not know any charter that has a deli onboard - Kekoa provides a full deli style lunch on our full day St John sails as well as top shelf liquor - maybe that is what you are thinking. As I also book all other charters through St John Excursions I do not know any company that include a deli lunch on any BVI sail (all do provide a continental breakfast/island style snack but no lunch except for their full day "local" sails where everyone does)

Philbetm - 3 or so years ago my mom and her husband went on a bVI trip that had deli platters of assorted meats and cheeses, rolls etc to make your own sandwiches. There were sides like fresh fruits and veggie and snacks throughout the day. They loved it. I can't remember the name but I do know, it is no longer in business. Maybe you saw pics of one of those?
Re: BVI Day Sail
Thanks PA Girl...that sounds exactly like what I saw and was speaking of...being diabetic I have to eat or graze...
as my endocrinologist calls it very often ! Graze...sounds like a farm animal doesn't it .
I didn't know if I would be allowed to bring snacks on board any of the trips. We are wanting to do an all day kind of trip. Hubby really wants to do one that goes to the Indians or Caves to snorkel . You are probably right I might have seen one that is not operating now.
Thanks again,
Sherry
