Taxi Question

I see the rates listed for taxi service between Cruz Bay and different locations, but I couldn't find information on how much a taxi would be from, say, Maho to Hawknest.

We are trying to decide - if we are just visiting a couple beaches on the north shore - should we just take a taxi or would it be better to have a car.

We definitely are renting a car for part of our trip so just trying to figure out logistics. Thank you!!

We always rent a jeep for the entire trip. It just is so much easier to come and go as you please. It probley is cheaper to taxi to a few of the beaches but our vaca time is worth paying the extra. And after almost 20 yrs one of the biggest thrills is that first drive on North Shore and seeing all the absolutely beautiful views. It still takes our breath away.

I agree with renting a car. Not sure where you are staying, it's really nice to have the freedome to come and go when you want to, stop at the overlooks, take your time, etc. Driving is easy and fairly slow-paced.
