Your blog was my favorite of all the building blogs because of how hands on you are in the construction process.

Hi Lori! So excited for you... we tried to oggle your house from the road when we went by.

Great lists in the attached. I'd add a guest book, shower caddies and reusable grocery bags. I like to bring a few reusable bags down with me and leave them at the house, in the hopes that others will cut down on the plastic bags too.

Not sure if this was on the list, but freezable/resuable ice packs to put in the cooler(s). And mosquito netting.

I've always been grateful to be in houses with well stocked kitchens, including tin foil, plastic zipper baggies, coffee filters, and staples like olive oil, salt, etc. Also Sharpies and masking tape are nice (to label sandwiches wrapped in foil, and other stuff.)

The house we were in last week had a hummingbird feeder on the deck. That was such a nice touch. Woke up each morning to this:
